Me'Nate Steak House is located at Ampang. This restaurant specialises in Western food; especially steak. The meat is specially flown in from Australia every week. Only the best cow and meat are chosen. The chef used to work for the Queen of England at Buckingham Palace as a butcher -- hence the vast knowledge of meat and style of cooking.

I tried the Rib-Eye Steak and I chose it to be medium well. For people who don't usually eat steak, this is the best option because it is fully cooked and there is no blood.

The steak was perfectly cooked. I  took a photo of the pinkish meat because that is how a medium well steak is supposed to look like.

It is really delicious. The black pepper sauce and mashed potato with gravy are the best out of all Western restaurants I've tried. The coleslaw is freshly made in their kitchen, all using their own recipe.

In terms of service, it is fast even though the restaurant is a bit stuffy. During peak hours it can be really crowded but it is worth it.

There are bottomless drinks provided for every meal you purchase. I highly recommend this steak place because the chef really knows his stuff.

Food Review 3: Sushi Zanmai

Inari Soft Shell Crab

Sakura Sushi Roll

I have tried several Japanese restaurant, but this is my first time at Sushi Zanmai. It has a lot of branches with different names; Ozen Zanmai, Zanmai, and Hokkaido Sushi. Its owned by the largest sushi company in Malaysia, SuperSushi Sdn Bhd.

There are several outlets -- at Avenue K, Sunway Pyramid, Nu Sentral, Fahrenehit 88 and Paradigm Mall.

The one that I've tried is the Avenue K and Sunway Pyramid's outlet.

Inari Soft Shell Crab

Inarizushi (Inari) is a simple and inexpensive type of sushi, in which sushi rice is filled into aburaage (deep fried tofu) bags. Soft shell crab is a type of crab that can be eaten entirely including their exoskeleton. The combination of sushi rice and soft shell crab gives an interesting flavour for your taste bud because it feels rich and salty. Its topped with salmon roe which gives the perfect finish.

Priced at RM 8.90 for two pieces, it is actually an affordable price because soft shell crab are known to be expensive.

Sakura Sushi Roll

Topped of with monroe, mayonnaise and dry shrimp; this sushi is the best. It is stuffed with crab and avocado with sushi rice. Priced at RM 13.90, it is worth it because the serving is generous. It looks small, but it is actually really fulfilling.

I've never been to any other Japanese restaurants after I tried Zanmai. It is so good that its on a standard on its own.

Food Review 2: Secret Recipe at Ole Ole, Seksyen 18

I just when back from a camp. It was tiring and exhausting and that lead to my craving for secret recipe. Me and my housemates was wandering around in Seksyen 18 and decided to have our dinner at the secret recipe. My favorite is always the seafood macaroni cheese from SR but i thought trying something new

DINNER SET CHICKEN BLACKPEPPER, WITH MUSHROOM SOUP AND  ICE LEMON TEA

It only cost me RM 19 ++  (not including with service charge and government tax) and the chicken was nice. It tasted a little bit hot because of the black pepper but it was good if you were having flu :) I am not very satisfied with the rice but it didn't effect much. The mushroom soup was nice and i suggested you to eat it with the corns that came with the chicken

unfortunately the service was bad :(

and i give this food 3/5 marks

Food Review 1: Al-Rafi Bistro at Seksyen 18 Shah Alam

Sweet and Sour Chicken Rice

Al Rafi Bistro is located at Seksyen 18 Shah Alam, right next to the Akasia college, one of the residential hostels provided for INTEC's student. This bistro is famous with the students because it is the nearest and most convenient, but other locals also hang around here a lot because of the good food.

I decided to try something new on the menu; the type of food that most people would not order at a "mamak" or a bistro because it is generally not their specialty. I ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken Rice. It is priced at RM 7.00 per meal, which is quite pricey for a plate of rice and chicken compared to other restaurants, but I wanted to try it anyway.

When the food arrived, the criteria I judged was:

The Portion.

- It is a generous portion; worth the price. The amount of rice is proportional to the chicken and sauce.

The Taste

- The sweet and sour sauce was balanced and the chicken was perfectly cooked. Since the chicken is cut into small pieces, it blended well with the sauce because we can easily dip pieces of the chicken with the sauce. The combination of it is really delicious.

Overall, I would say that the food is worth the price. The service at Al Rafi Bistro is also good; food and drinks are served fast even if the place is swarming with people.
